The Scanautomatic Prize Competition was established in connection with Scanautomatic 1986 to reward innovative new items or ideas shown at the fair. The prizes have been awarded fourteen times, i.e. at every Scanautomatic event since 1986.

As the Scanautomatic and Process Technology trade fairs run in parallel, exhibitors from both events are equally welcome to compete for the prizes.
